
Dentist
Dr. Chernick is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. He completed a general dentistry internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital and then served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy. In the early 1980’s, Dr. Chernick was an assistant professor of dental materials at New York University. In 1990 when the field was in its infancy, Dr. Chernick became interested in Oral Appliance Therapy for treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and began seeing patients and working with researchers on the development and use of a number of oral appliances. He is on the staff of both Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital Sleep Centers.
